Wearable Lighting Technology Make Huge Advance

With the addition of smart watches, goggles that connect our lives, and bracelets that compute our sleep patterns, technology is quickly becoming a part of our daily lives. Ellumiglow.com is proud to announce the release of an equally as impressive technology in wearable fabrics, ELastoLite. The time for wearable technologies has never been brighter than it is today. With the addition of smart watches, goggles that connect our lives, and bracelets that compute our sleep patterns, technology is quickly becoming a part of our daily lives. Ellumiglow.com is proud to announce the release of an equally as impressive technology in wearable fabrics, ELastoLite.

ELastoLite® is a lighting source that is able to be integrated into nearly any fabric, shoe, or material without limiting any movement to the fabric itself. The lighting technology derives from Electroluminescent technology and has 22 layers built into a package that is more flexible than a single sheet of paper. The fascinating part about this technology is that it is the first lighting source that is machine washable AND dryable. Once incorporated into the fabrics themselves, the light turns on with a small power source, and shines brightly at night. This allows runners, cyclists, safety workers, police, firemen, and more to incorporate this technology into existing and future gear. Because ELastoLite is an “Active” light source, no external light is needed in order to see the light, unlike reflective materials. By incorporating the lighting into clothing that use retro-reflective materials, it actually enhances these properties and thus illuminates the material even more. ELastoLite also doesn’t interfere with night vision like LED’s so incorporating this into shoes and fabrics is possible for the athletic markets. This removes “sun-spots” that are common when looking directly at other lighting technologies such as LEDs, incandescents, halogen, neon and more.
